Men's Attire

We are having the hardest time deciding what we want for our men's attire. We've bounced back and forth through various ideas and still haven't settled on one- though we have narrowed it down. We are aiming for something more casual since my dress is very simple and we are working with a fairly small budget.

Pearl Epaulettes by mylittlebride

It's been several months since our last update. Many life issues have come up and we have had to rearrange our lives a little bit to accommodate. However, planning is still always on my mind!

Recently I came across an amazing shop on Etsy and discovered these wonderful pearl epaulettes. I intend on incorporating something similar to my wedding dress. The only difference being that they will be made from smaller pearls and silver chain in order to match my wedding circlet by BeasleysWonders.

Dresses and Accessories!

After a lot of soul searching, I have finally settled on my dress. I'm not going to post it because it's a secret BUT I will update you on the bridesmaid dresses and accessories I have picked out:

I'm fairy indecisive on my accessories though So far I've ordered my circlet and it's been in safe keeping for a while now. It, of course, was not disappointing.

Since I shaved my hair a while back, it isn't going to be long enough to do much with it. although it's looking like it will be long enough to put up in a simple bun which will be nice. in which case, i'm considering something along these lines- only with bleached peacock feathers like the accessories for my bridesmaids:

Wedding Bands

A while back, John and I went hunting for wedding bands on Etsy. We originally found several we liked but ended up settling on an artist who offered titanium bands with deer horn inlays. They were gorgeous! Unfortunately, that was 2 years ago and it looks like he no longer offers that design. Currently, I'm awaiting an e-mail to see if we can still order them. But, if not, he most certainly has a wide selection of custom wedding bands to choose from. Here are a few of the designs that stood out to us:

We will most likely be ordering them soon. SO exited knowing everything is finally falling into place. We just happened to come across another, more convenient venue to have the wedding at thanks to some friends who just recently had a wedding there. The venue is indoors which, despite originally wanting an outdoor wedding, is a much better option all around. It's certainly more cost efficient, there are less restrictions and it'll be better for our family and friends in the heat of the Oklahoma summer. We'll keep you posted once we've received confirmation.

Inspiration

It is official! We are awaiting news on our venue registration so we can send out our wedding invitations! Right now I am sorting through all of my inspiration photos in hopes of visualizing the end result. It's all starting to come together and will soon be tied up in a nice little burlap bow.

We have also settled on a theme and color scheme (finally!). Our wedding theme is fairly simple but is a combination of things. The closest I've heard it referred to as is Whimsical Vintage on a few wedding blogs and some magazines. This way no one is obligated to wear funny costumes unlike our handfasting back in 2012 which was Faerie themed. Everyone can wear something "Sunday casual" and be comfortable.

Our wedding will be (hopefully) outdoors with a catered reception to follow. We will be having the ceremony later in the evening and the reception will be held at sundown so as to escape the Oklahoma heat or inevitable rain.
